About Mardouw Country House

Mardouw Country House is a serviced 5-Star Country House on the private Mardouw Olive estate. Situated against the Langeberg Mountains, between the towns of Swellendam and Ashton off the R60 road. The estate is 197 km drive from Cape Town, as you head into the Garden Route.

Our olive farm is an idyllic venue for exclusive, private group accommodation, and intimate celebrations or corporate meetings.

Swellendam: The third oldest town in South Africa, celebrated its 250th anniversary in 1995. This charming town, nestling at the foot of the Langeberg Mountain, is famous not only for its young berries (braambessies), but also for its eclectic architecture, fascinating past and great outdoor life.

The Koornlands River, ancient oak trees and stately, whitewashed homesteads add to its charm.
