Room Description

These suites each sleep 2 in a queen-size bed, and have a private bathroom with a huge bath and separate toilet. Each suite has a lounge area with a fireplace and DStv, a small kitchen with dining area, and a private verandah with a braai.

Komati Gorge Lodge is one of the few Mpumalanga Resorts that is situated on an eco-estate with such luxurious accommodation. Most of our accommodation has indoor fireplaces or floor heating for those chilly winter evenings and when summer comes round, our guests can cool down in our swimming pool or do some tubing down the river.

Whether you are having a casual get together to do some fun team-building for the day or a full week’s in-depth training program, we can accommodate you. Situated above the restaurant, our conference facility can accommodate up to 30 guests comfortably.

Apart from our outstanding accommodation in Mpumalanga, we are proud to say that we have one of the best restaurants in the area. Gourmet meals and desserts compliments the exquisite service you will receive at our restaurant and the atmosphere is utterly alluring. We also have a fully stocked bar for our guests to enjoy refreshments from our wide selection of beverages.

Situated in a sheltered canyon near Carolina, surrounded by the peaceful scenery, there’s much to discover on our reserve. If you would like to go for a boat trip up the river, the canoes are available along the river towards Yellowwood house.

We have quite a variety of game and other small animals on the reserve and surrounding areas. If you are interested in bird watching, there is a Bird List available at the reception reflecting which birds you can expect in this area and which have already been spotted on the reserve.

We currently have two marked hiking trails. The road going past the Lodge into the gorge offers beautiful scenery and the occasional spotting of baboons, monkeys and a variety of buck.

There are several lovely places for you to go on a picnic. Guests often take the canoes up to the weir and picnic there.
