*Bankenveld House has panoramic views of the Cradle of Humankind and guests can enjoy the birdlife in the garden, listen to the calls of the Black Backed Jackal during the evenings and even be lucky to view the resident Black Eagle pair (Verreaux Eagles) soaring above or the Vervet Monkeys chattering in the trees

*All rooms are individually decorated with the interpretation of living beautifully whilst away from home

*We commit to always providing our guests with comfortable, clean and luxurious rooms with an extra effort to ensure your privacy. As your hosts, we are available to advise on local eat outs, help you have a “braai” in our boma or on the deck, visit places of interest, as well as arrange transport for connecting flights

*You can expect to experience a peaceful stay whilst also having the convenience of being near the city of Johannesburg. You can come and relax after a busy day

*Bankenveld House is situated on a 2-hectare holding where we have planted more than 50 indigenous trees in the garden. Bankenveld House is a rustic thatched family home partly constructed from timber from alien invaders in and around the property

*We are situated in Krugersdorp near the Cradle of Humankind area and the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. Visits to nearby Sterkfontein caves, Maropeng and the Silverstar Casino and Day Spa can be arranged
